US magazine Nintendo Power have released a teaser stating that the magazine will exclusively reveal new “Mario” title for the Nintendo Wii.
“Next issue is going to be a big one, with brand-new looks at some of the year’s hottest games – including a snazzy new world reveal for Wii! Miss out on this one, and you might as well turn in your Nintendo Fan membership card.”
A while back Charles Martinet stated that he was working on a Mario game other than NSMBW and Galaxy 2. A new Mario party title isn't a bad guess, it would also be great to see a new Mario Golf game or even Luigi's Mansion!! Whether this will be an entirely new game or another addition to a old franchise is yet to be seen.

Cing are the developers of famous titles like Little King’s Story, Trace Memory, Monster Rancher, and the Wii and DS versions of Hotel Dusk.
I don’t like it when I hear that developer companies need to close down. It’s even worse when they are good at what they do. Cing will be closing their doors because of debt that they are unable to pay. The debt is small but amounts to $2.9 million that they obviously just can’t pay.
The DS version of Hotel Dusk has made it out to Japan and we don’t know if the bankruptcy will stop it from coming to the rest of us?

This story is not for the faint in heart but for those can hold the tears carry on reading. A 3 year old girl was killed in a Wii accident. Apparently her father left his gun on the living room table, they had had a Wii remote gun before and the little girl picked up the gun and shot herself. She was rushed to the hospital instantly but declared dead that same night.
An update on the story: “The gun is apparently a .380 caliber semi automatic handgun. The stepfather claims he was asleep at the time of the incident, according to authorities. The stepfather also claims the child's mother was in the room with the child at the time of the incident. The mother has told authorities the girl might have thought she was playing with a Nintendo Wii controller that resembled a gun. According to the stepfather, the gun was out because he had heard a prowler and gotten the gun out earlier that evening. He then left the gun on the table in the living room.”
I have some doubts on the story. Firstly, can a three year old girl pick up a gun like that and even pivot it towards herself? Secondly if she thought it was a Wii Gun would she not shoot the TV? At first I was shocked at the story and do still feel sorry for the little girl but I don’t like what the facts are pointing to? You make up your own mind or share it in the comments.

Nintendo have filed a patent application for a new kind of cartridge, which appears to be very similar to a Nintendo DS cartridge or perhaps a Nintendo DS-like cartridge.
The cartridge seems to protrude / stick out a little more than a regular DS cartridge, but a little less than a developer cart use to design games.
This could on the other hand just be one of the many patents that Nintendo release and decide not to use, the Nintendo phone jumps to mind! The documentation specifically states; “the broken lines showing of an electronic game machine is for illustrative purposes only.”
Is this a new hand-held console cartridge, just a DS add on such as a gyro system or maybe just an idea that will not materialize?
Only time will tell, let’s hope that it will be sooner rather than later.

Glory of Heracles is a DS title published by Nintendo and developed by Paon, and is due for a European PAL release in Q2 of 2010, it was released in Japan in May 2008 and more recently in North America in January 2010.
What has brought this title into the lime-light as of late isn't the fact that two big names in the gaming industry , Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy) and Yoshitaka Hirota (DK Jungle Climber) worked on the title but rather the box art!!!!
Yes that’s right it seems that we are heading back to the Super Nintendo days of Mortal Kombat with black blood and watered down fatalities (Okay maybe not as bad as that!).
In the original version of "Glory of Heracles" the box art we are exposed to a little of the character "Leucos' " rear cheek, not even enough to turn heads or make you think twice but in the reprint we see that she is totally covered up.
Whether you think the censorship is unnecessary or a just cause at least we know the Nintendo's good old family values are essentially here to stay!
