Yesterday (14 Nov) Nintendo and their ‘Squid Research Lab’ announced the first big update to Splatoon 3. Officially called ” Chill Season 2022″ the new content will be hitting all players with an active Nintendo Switch Online membership on the 1st of December. There’s quite a lot to look forward to and it’s probably worth checking out the trailer (included below), however, here’s a quick summary of what you can look forward to…

• Two additional stages: Brinewater Springs (new) and Flounder Heights (Splatoon 1)
• A new collection of gear, custom titles, victory emotes, stickers and more
• Additional weapons: A new Roller, Charger and Shooter as well as 10 returning weapons from previous games
• Big Run: new Salmon Run mode event (Salmonids to invade Wahoo World)
• X Battles: Elite mode for high-ranked Anarchy Battle players
