Back in February, after the Nintendo Direct revealed that the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC would be included for free for all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members we spoke about how the addition really strengthened the subscription’s offering. And it seems that Nintendo isn’t quite done adding value to it yet…

Today, Nintendo not only confirmed Splatoon 3‘s release date but also announced that Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion (which I had the pleasure to review back in 2018 for SA Gamer) would be free to download for Expansion Pack members. The Expansion pack now not only gives subscribers access to the classic libraries from the N64 and the SEGA Genesis but also the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass, the Animal Crossing New Horizons: Happy Home Paradise DLC and now the Octo Expansion too.
