During the Nintendo Direct earlier this month, Mario Strikers: Battle League was revealed for the first time. If you’re excited to play the good news is you won’t have to wait long – with the game due to be released on the 10th of June 2022. We’ve had quite a few details revealed about the game already (check out this post for some of those), however, one of the things that wasn’t officially confirmed is who was handling the development from Nintendo. The art style and history had many of us assuming that it would be the longtime-developers Next Level Games – but that fact that it wasn’t specifically mentioned anywhere was a little worrying.
Well, worry no more! As first reported on by Nintendo Everything, an Australian Classification site recently posted info about the upcoming game and listed Next Level Games as the author – their version of the developer. Of course, it is probably best to wait for official reveals – however, after the commercial success and critical acclaim of Luigi’s Mansion 3 – the last game the developers handled for Nintendo – we can’t imagine Nintendo would be moving this property away. And I for one, can’t wait!
