Super Nintendo World opening in the US in 2023

March 10, 2022

Back in March 2021 Super Nintendo World officially opened at Universal Studios in Japan. Despite several delays due to Covid – the launch was a big event. And despite living so far away and with no currently-foreseeable plans to visit the park anytime soon I was surprised how excited I got for the whole event – and it instantly became a bucket list trip for myself (and undoubtedly many other Mario fans out there). Well today (as per Polygon) a second Super Nintendo World opening was officially announced – this time in the US at Universal Studios Hollywood and will be open to visitors sometime in 2023.

Currently there does seem that there will be some differences between the two parks – with some sources stating that the US park will be a little smaller and therefore feature less attraction (at least at first). If this is the first time you’re finding out about the park – be sure to check out the official Super Nintendo World Direct we got in late 2020 – where the father of Mario – Mr Shigeru Miyamoto toured the theme park and gave visitors some idea of what to expect…
