If you’re a fan of video games (and we’re going to assume you are since you’re reading this) there’s a YouTube channel you really need to check out if you haven’t already. It’s called The Gaming Historian and (as described in the about section of the channel) it is…
…a documentary series all about the history of video games. The show is researched, written, edited, and created by Norman Caruso.
Caruso really does a lot of research and brings a truckload of interesting facts and unknown trivia around some of the most successful (or at least notable) video games, consoles etc. There is a lot of great content (not all Nintendo-related), however, the reason we decided to highlight the channel today is that they just added a great new documentary about Super Mario World which is really worth checking out. Super Mario World was the fourth instalment in the Super Mario Bros. series. It not only headlined the SNES/Super Famicom lineup but was also a critical and commercial success. To this day, it is considered by many to be one of the greatest games ever made. The video really gives some great insight into its development and also into the developers behind the game – many of which are still involved in bringing your favourite Nintendo games to fruition today. We can’t recommend it enough! Check it out below:
