After a few eagle-eyed fans noticed that a few videos on Nintendo’s various platforms went private earlier today, rumours once again started swirling that the Switch Pro was on its way. Of course, Nintendo fooled everyone again, announcing a special Splatoon 3 Edition Switch OLED instead. The striking new OLED and accompanying grafitti-themed dock some features some awesome-looking blue and yellow gradient Joy-Cons and will launch (somewhat surprisingly) on Friday 26 August. This is around two weeks before the launch of the game which is quite odd in isolation and even more so when you consider that it, therefore, means the special edition will therefore not include the game.

And for those of you out there that want even more Splatoon 3 in your life, on the day of launch (9 September), you can also splurge to get your hands on Nintendo Switch Pro Controller Splatoon 3 Edition and/or the Nintendo Switch Carrying Case (Splatoon 3 Edition) and ScreenProtector (all pictured above).
