It’s finally here! Yes, after much speculation about when Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass would arrive and what courses would be included, earlier today we finally got the official reveal and announcement. You can watch the official video here:
As shown above, Wave 2 will be arriving on the 4th of August. As expected it will feature two new cups consisting of four tracks each…

- SNES Mario Circuit 3
- N64 Kalimari Desert
- DS Waluigi Pinball
Propeller Cup
- Tour Sydney Sprint
- GBA Snow Land
- Wii Mushroom Gorge
- Sky-High Sundae
As you can see there are some real fan favourites making a return including SNES Mario Circuit 3, DS Waluigi Pinball and Wii Mushroom Gorge. And of course, like in Wave 1, there are some Tour tracks in this selection too (and if they are as good as the first lot I’m quite excited for these). However, the one name that really stood out was Sky-High Sundae. This is a brand new track. And this is significant because when the new DLC was announced we were told that only ‘remastered’ tracks would be appearing. Now, there was some text saying that this course would also be coming to the mobile Tour game so I guess that’s how it is being explained – however, it is interesting that the new track will be a completely anti-grav course – something that many highlighted as missing from the first wave.
In any case, as a huge MKD8 fan I’m understandably super excited and can’t wait for next week!
