Hey, all your octolings out there! This is just a small public service announcement to remind you that the Splatoon 3: World Premier Splatfest starts tomorrow and the free Demo is already available for download. Having already downloaded it – we can confirm that for now all you can do is do some basic customisations on yoru character, run throught the basics tutorial and vote for your Turf Battle team.

While bringing back seom gameplay from Splatoon 1 and 2, this event will also serve to introduce Splatoon 3’s new three-way Splatfest Battles. This first event will have you selecting between Rock, Paper or Scissors. In terms of when the actual gameplay will get underway and how it will take place the official press release explains:

The main event starts on 27th August. Between 10:00 CEST and 16:00 CEST, players claim their turf against one team at a time. Then, during the 16:00 CEST and 22:00 CEST block, they can take on the new Splatfest Tricolor Turf War battles, in which the leading team faces two players each from both other teams. This 4-v-2-v-2 format brings a new type of colourful chaos to Splatfests. After that, the results will be calculated and revealed on Sunday, 28th August at 16:00 CEST.
