Welcome to 2022! It’s been a bad couple of years and so let’s do our best to look forward… And while some would argue that 2021 was a bit of a slow year for Nintendo (despite the fact that we got Metroid Dread (GOTY contender), WarioWare: Get It Together!, Mario Golf: Super Rush, Game Builder Garage, New Pokémon Snap, Monster Hunter Rise and some fun remakes including Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Pokémon Shining Pearl/Brilliant Diamond) 2022 promises some pretty big titles. So let us know which game are you most looking forward to playing on the Switch year? Here’s a quick list of a few big names to look out for…
Pokémon Legends: Arceus (28 January 2022)
Later this month we will learn about a ‘new way’ to experience a Pokémon game by journeying to the past! Here’s our first look at gameplay.
Triangle Strategy (04 March 2022)
Sure not the catchiest of titles, but Strategy RPG fans and lovers of this distinct art style are sure to be excited for this one!
Kirby and the Forgotten Land (25 March 2022)
An open-world post-apocalyptic Kirby game – uh…Sure!? I’m actually really excited for this one.
Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp (Autumn, 2022)
Bringing back an old franchise with a Switch-updated game of two of the classics – perfect!
Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope (2022)
Our first non-first-party one – but hey Ubi’s Rabbid game also stars our favourite plumber and his friends and after the great original, I can’t wait to see what the sequel is like.
Splatoon 3 (2022)
The Inklings are back – and this family-friendly shooter just seems to get better with every iteration.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Sequel (2022)
Of course, no 2022 most-anticipated games list would be complete without this little number. But what’s the actual title and when will be actually playing it? Well, for now, that’s anybody’s guess.
