And just like that, we got an update for Nintendo’s mobile Animal Crossing game: Pocket Camp and it’s already available. You can watch the short release trailer below. Believe it or not, the game has been around for four years already. I must admit although I had downloaded it and played it a bit when it was first released, I hadn’t really even thought about it for ages. However, thanks to the update I may just give it another go. So, what can we look forward to?
Suprise Update: What’s New?
There are basically three changes, First, you can now invite more animals to your campsite (from 8 before to 16 now). Second, there’s a new smart device widget, clearly designed to get us to log in more regularly. And finally, a brand new Pocket Planner feature which is a paid monthly subscription and will cost R 17.99 per month.
The Switch’s success did a lot to enhance the popularity of Animal Crossing – with New Horizons simply smashing sales records, and there’s likely a knock-on effect that means Nintendo is keen to keep Animal Crossing in the news as much as possible.
Did you know Switch sales have actually just passed PlayStation (the original) – check out just how popular the Switch is here.
