Just a few days ago we learned that the release date for Xenoblade Chronicles 3 had been pushed forward (pulled back?) from September to July. And it looks like now we know why… Earlier today Nintendo announced that Splatoon 3 will be coming to the Switch on the 9th of September 2022. Along with the release date we also got a new trailer showing off Turf War gameplay.

While the new trailer seems to indicate that (at least visually) Splatoon 3 won’t be a huge shift forward from Splatoon 2, the movement does seem even smoother and some of the new weapons look rather interesting. However, we will have to wait for Nintendo to release more info to know exactly what to expect. For now, we’ll simply be content about how packed Nintendo’s 2022 calendar continues to look!

In other news, Nintendo recently announced the three new games that would be coming to Nintendo Switch Online and confirmed that Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion would be joining the Expansion Pack too at no extra cost.
