Back in March, Nintendo revealed that they would be adding Missions and Rewards to Switch Online. Basically, fulfilling certain pre-determined criteria (missions) would earn you platinum points which you could now also redeem for Rewards, As any possible physical rewards are not available to South Africans, the biggest new customisable items were the new profile icons.

The first months were all about Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2 and Animal Crossing. It’s a new month and, while featuring a few more Animal Crossing: New Horizons characters, May will also include a Mario Kart 8 Deluxe collection (as pictured above). Every week will feature two new icons so be sure to keep an eye out so as not to miss your favourites or (if you’re like me) so you can collect the whole bunch!
